Happiness as measured in facebook statuses over three years As you’d expect, there is a pronounced cycle each week. Statuses used to be more negative than positive and now the reverse is true. Christmas, Thanksgiving, 4th of July and NYE increase both positivity and negativity (though mostly positivity) while Halloween, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Easter increase only positivity.
